Who Can Get Help?
Youth who:
- Live in Hawaiʻi; and
- Is in one of the following categories:
- Is under 18 year of age, or under 21 years of age and remains in the foster care system because he or she is attending high school;
- Is placed by a Hawaiʻi state government agency in a therapeutic foster placement or in kinship, foster, or respite care;
- Is placed by Hawaiʻi state government agency in permanent custody.
How It Works?
- A trusted adult (like a social worker or school counselor) must request the item or activity for the youth.
- The money goes straight to the vendor—not to the youth or caregiver.
- Each youth can get up to $650 worth of support.
